Road Trip To M'sia

6am: Setting Off

Tired.

My family decided to have a one day short trip to M'sia since its

been many years ago that we actually went on a trip.

Bro and Dad rid with us, while Mum with Sammy & Sis.

7.20am: Ah Soon Bak Kut Teh

After a short pit stop at a petrol station, we started the ball rolling.

Malaysia Morn.

Hearts were light and stomach can go exceptionally hungry. Mornings

in M'sia can be so pretty.

Hungry People.

Bak Kut Teh.Baby Clams.MaYou Chicken. (Approx. 174RM)

8.30am: Hitting The Roads. (Approx. 41km)

The most interesting part of a road trip is to enjoy the scenery.

Sing Your Way.

Rural Sight.

Into The Mountains.

9.20am: Kota Tinggi

The Entrance.

9Rm Per PPl + 5RM Per Car.

Fed & Watered.

Warm Sun.

Boiling Our Legs.

Water So Refreshing.

The water was so cool and clear, we all regretted not bringing our bathing suits.

When You're Happy & U Know, U Clap Your Hands.

Nice.

Small.

Medium.

Large.

4 Guys.

3 Girls.

Happy Moments.

They Say We Look Alike.

11AM: Hitting The Roads. (Approx. 57km)

To The End Of The World.

Blazing Sun.

12pm: Desaru

The Sun, Sand & Sea.

The Beach.

Take Me By The Hand, Take Me Somewhere New.

Fit For Brochures.

Of cos, compared to places like Maldives or Carribean this is like a slum

But considering its just a 2 hrs drive from Sg, it is not a bad substitution.

This part of Desaru is facing the South China Sea.

Nice to just rot on the beach, definitely better than Sentosa 10 times.

Not too crowded and thus less pollution and stuff.

1.15pm: Hitting The Roads (Approx. 10km)

Unbearable Heat.

&

Terribly tired and hungry.

1.45pm: Kg.Sg.Renggit

This place is right next to the sea and its extremely famous for their good

quality lobsters.

This restuarant has been on UChannel a few yrs back on Michelle Chia's food show.

Famous For Lobsters.

Sorry. Too Hungry.

Anyway, that's Crab, Home-made Nor-hiang, Vege, Indo Sea Prawns, Fried Buns

Didnt have Lobsters as they are too small (approx. only 300gm) and

cost a wooping 110RM per kg. Not Worth it.

4.15pm: Ostrich Farm

My Sis was screaming to go to the Ostrich Farm in the area.

Egg Almost As Big As A Face.

Lesson Learnt: An Ostrich Egg is approx 30 chicken eggs add together

and it takes at least 20 to 25 ppl to finish the whole thing.

RM 10 Each.

Beautiful Big Bird.

Like alot of species, males are always the more attractive ones.

The females looked a little scary as the feathers are like coming off

and they have bare patches on their big bodies.

Scared Faced.

There is a good reason for it.

Lesson Learnt: An Ostrich's leg can kick a thing up to 500kg.

So to them we are literally like cotton pillows.

Only My Dad Was Brave Enough.

Goes Round and Round.

This is so damn funny. My bro was in front holding dried corn luring the bird.

He was going round and round the table.

The big bird also went round and round.

Then my sis joined too.

Round and round.

BanG! You 're So Dead.

This is a super well-trained bird I tell you.

To be exact he is some kinda chicken.

The farm personnel said:

"In the whole farm you are the most noisy. Now Don't MOVE!"

The chicken immediately freeze and turn over.

Legs and all rigid.

He doesnt even moved when you throw food at it. So Damn Funny.

After the 'show' the farm personnel said:

"Ok Ok enough already. So Noisy. Now you Go home!"

So damn funny.

The chicken immediately walked back to its cage, with its owners holding the cage

door open.

I think it is even more well-trained than Happy la!!

4.55pm: Hitting The Roads Again. (Approx. 120KM)

Poor Bf.

He and Sammy were the Drivers for the whole day.

I cant believe he actually didnt fall asleep.

I felt so guilty because i Zonked out the moment i crawled back to the car

Just so freaking tired.

Some more its a straight 2 plus hrs drive.

Bro slept like a pig.

7.10pm: Taman Sentosa (Lau Beijing)

Fresh Oyster @ 8RM Each.

Fish Maw Soup @ 12 RM Each.

Garlic Oyster @ 8 RM Each.

Bamboo Clams

We ate Kang Kong and Sea Cucumber too.

But i forgot to take pics.

The food is by far the best and environment most comfy.

Of cos it comes in a price tag.

8.20pm: Heading Back To SG

After a long but enjoyable day, we all are happy to go home too

as we were missing Happy like mad.

We decided to take the Second Link instead of Woodlands

to avoid the jam.

So we hit the N-S Highway.

A place where notorious and horrible crimes take place so often.

I was a little worried as none of us knew the way and my Dad

was the only 'MAP'.

In the end luckily we asked the ppl at the toll station to confirm the routes.

If not it will be a 3hrs drive and we will all end up in KL!!

My sis was actually praying that it will happen so that it will be an advanture.

Cant believe it!

Lesson Learnt: Get off at Senai Exit, it will take you straight to another highway

which goes straight to Tua Checkpt.

To conclude things, I am glad the trip materialized after talking for sooo long. It is a good

getaway if people do not really have that much time or money.

It too achieve the effects of a good well-earned hoilday!

P/s better to go in a big grp.

Total Spending: Approx. 900RM (7 Pax)
